Question on calories and such?

i measured my heart rate at work and kept my counter on that counts the hours i workout, the heart rate, and calories burned during my workout and such...so i was curious as humans are and i kept it on for 3 hours at work, and i burned almost 800 calories in 3 hours and my work wasn%26#039;t busy at all during this time, so i figure when we are busy which is alot then i probley burn like 2000 calories at work alone and then go home and workout for an hour and burn almost 600 there so you figure 2600 calories not counting everything else i do outside of work and working out. so i guess my question is is this what people mean by burn more calories then you use? cause i eat about 1600 calories a day. i workout everyday except mondays and i do an hour each time on the treadmill at moderate to heavy pace. i just want to understand more about working out and such. i lost 16 pounds total and 6 of that is from the last two weeks. so i lose about 2-3 pounds a week.

Question on calories and such?

no thats about it. keep up the good work! for you calorie question- your deficit per day adds up. say you normally burn 1,700 calories (just living) and then you excercise and burn 600. that%26#039;s 2,300 calories burned that day. now you subtract what you eat (say, 1,600 calories) that%26#039;s a 700 calorie/ day deficit. that adds up to 3,500 which are a pound. a lot of the weight people lose is water, and thats why we lose weight really fast in the beginning.

by the way, those numbers above i was just randomly making up so you probably actually burn more than that :)

Question on calories and such?

No i think you should relax the diet a bit. If you are working out the weight will fall off you. You can still reduce you calorie intake but it is v dangerious if you are constantly excerising aswell. Good luck x x x
