What should the heartrate be at 8 weeks and 2 days?

We had our first ultrasound this morning and I am 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant. The baby was 20mm long with a heart rate of 175bpm and I was told by the U/S technician that everything looks good and that my due date is 30th August 2008.

I have just done a little research on the internet and it says that the heart rate is usually within 120 to 160bpm. Is 175bpm too high? Also, is 20mm normal for 8 weeks and 2 days?

i%26#039;m 16 weeks prego with twins and at my appointment at around that time, one%26#039;s heart rate was 172 and the other%26#039;s was 175. i thought it was high too, but the tech, the nurse and the doctor said everything was fine! best of luck to you! congrats on your pregnancy!

170 was my babys heart rate at my ultrasound, the doctor said that was normal and it would come down.

if there was anything to be concerned about im sure the doctor would have told you, at 10 weeks my babys heartrate was close to 170bpm... if they felt it was anything to be concerned about they would have told you

nope just fine!! mine was 178. and its always been above 160 except one time it was 152!!

My first ultrasound was at 9 weeks and 2 days. The baby%26#039;s heartbeat was 170 and the size was 2.5cm long. You%26#039;rs sounds normal to me. Congrats!
